Tungurahua Volcano: Massive Eruption Expected, Ecuador Evacuates 10 villages Near Quito
Tungurahua became active again in 1999. Prior to that, the volcano's last major eruptions had occurred in the early 1900's. The volatile volcano routinely causes earthquake tremors in the surrounding areas. Scientists say that energy is building up for an extraordinary eruption in the near future.
